More on Exchanges, Settlement

MarketBeat has this tidbit, which expands on this observation from yesterday.

Monday, the scene at the opening bell on the NYSE floor was more reminiscent of its hectic heyday than of visits earlier this year: brokers charged around shoulder-first and jostled one another in front of specialist posts. About a dozen floor brokers scrummed around the post for Wachovia, refereed by one of the specialist managers. This was nothing, however, compared with last week.
